Network Administrators have always had the option to deactivate an Organization or Location to ensure that a location does not appear on the Vivery map. A deactivated Organization or Location can be reactivated, so this is the best option to remove a Location from a Vivery map if there is a chance that the Location may become active again in the future.
If an agency is no longer working with the food bank and there is no chance of that changing, a Network Administrator can delete that agency at the Location or Organization level. Vivery recommends deleting at the highest level when possible, and the highest level is the Organization. However, if an Organization has more than one location and only one location is no longer active, the recommendation is to delete only the unnecessary Location (leaving the Organization and other Locations active).
Warning
Deleting an Organization or Location is permanent. There is no way to recover deleted information. When in doubt, do not delete - inactivate the Organization or Location instead.
Deleting an Organization
To delete an Organization, start by ensuring that the Organization is not claimed. If the Organization is claimed, the only menu option is to deactivate it, which removes all of its Locations and Programs from the map.
Note
Claimed Organizations cannot be deleted. To remove a claimed organization you can uncheck the claim indicator or contact support@vivery.org for help deleting claimed Organizations.
From the left navigation menu, click Organizations, then click on the name of the Organization. From the Organization Information page, scroll down until you see the Claim Status check box. If the box is checked, click the box to uncheck it.
Next, from the left navigation menu, click Organizations, search for the Organization to delete, and click the three vertical dots on the right side of the Organization’s row and click Delete.

Warning
Deleting an Organization also deletes all Locations and Programs below it. Deleted Organizations, Locations, and Programs cannot be recovered.
In the warning dialog box, type the exact name of the organization to delete to activate the Delete button. Click Delete to complete the action.

Deleting a Location
To delete a location, start by ensuring that the location’s organization is not claimed. If the organization is claimed, the only menu option is to deactivate the location, which removes it from the map.
Note
Locations in claimed organizations cannot be deleted.
From the left navigation menu, click Locations, then click on the name of the Location. From the General Information area, click the name of the Organization connected to this Location.
Scroll down until you see the Claim Status check box. If the box is checked, click the box to uncheck it.
Next, from the left navigation menu, click Locations, search for the location to delete, and click the three vertical dots on the right side of the Location’s row and click Delete.

Warning
Deleting a Location also deletes all Programs below it. Deleted Programs cannot be recovered.
In the warning dialog box, type the exact name of the location to delete to activate the Delete button. Click Delete to complete the action.
